Alone

Previously, Chapter-III : Poor

The royal stag felt so ashamed of its legs that it did not go near all the other deers.

It was so sad that it roamed alone, had no friends except the nightingale who nested on its antlers.

Those were the days, when the stag was drinking from the pool of water, on one evening
instance,

It could not overhear the footfall of a danger approaching, not too far in distance.

Distance had spread the news of boastful gait of a royal stag, as royal as the king,

But spread was also the bird's view who came in flying and brought news alarming.

The footfall belonged to a long-sworn enemy of the stag,

No other than the king of the jungle, the old lion growling a brag.

Next, Chapter-V : Wise
